Jason's Cashmere Hat Yarn Kit

Jason’s Cashmere Hat features a simple cable design for extra warmth, firm ribbing to help keep its shape, and a thick, folded brim that can be adjusted to cover the ears on extra chilly days. I made my version of this great pattern with two skeins of Cowgirlblues Aran Single. This hat is pure luxury and can easily be completed in a weekend. I think the huge Pom Pom is a must too!!!

Yarn
2 x 100g skeins of Cowgirlblues Aran Single (80% Wool and 20% Kid Mohair, 120 metres or 131 yards per 100g skein) pictured in the colour Hot Pink.

Sizing
To fit an adult head 22-24 inches in circumference.

Finished Measurements
8 inches wide, 11 inches long (unfolded brim) or 8.5 inches long (folded brim)

Needles
4mm / 6US 16” circular needle
5mm / 8US 16” circular needle
5mm / 8US 12" circular needle for decrease

Gauge
Ribbing: 20 stitches per 4 inches in rib pattern (unstretched), using smaller needles
Body: 12 stitches and 7 rows = 2 inches by 1 inch in the cable pattern, using larger needles
