Kago - basket - is a short vest worked from the top down. The right and left back panels are at first worked separately with neck increases, then joined to be worked down to the underarm. Each front panel is picked up from the back shoulder and joined to be worked as the back. The front and back are joined at the underarm to be worked in the round to the hem.

NEEDLE
US11 / 8 mm circular needles, 24” 60 cm or longer
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

GAUGE
With US 11 / 8 mm needle
11 sts and 18 rows/rnds = 4” 10 cm in Kago stitch, after blocking.

NOTIONS
Waste yarn, stitch markers (8), cable needle, tapestry needle, spare circular needle
